They’ve been behind barriers for months but on Thursday 27th, SCDCs two new car parks at Martello Park finally opened for business, although hardly anyone noticed. They are both long stay car parks aimed at the tourist trade, there being plenty of free parking locally for us locals. They will surely be a boon on Sundays and during the peak tourist period, but what a pity they haven’t made them free at other times.
